To celebrate Para-site theatre company’s birthday and the launch of their book Para-Site: The First Five Years the company will be staging a custom-designed dance piece inspired by my grizzly paintings, titled Small Faces at the Sesame gallery on Thursday 17th of July. There will be two performances, at 8pm and 8:30pm

This show is going to be a really cool thing, I’ll have some new paintings on display and If I’m not too sloshed on the night I will post pictures and maybe some video footage.

social commentary at it’s best

i been doing these art workshop thingys with a couple of young peeps for a few weeks now, lets hope the poxy english weather holds out so that we can get this project finished for september… it’s shaping up nicely anyways

i havent listened to Tim Westwoods rap show in years, i recently did and begun to cry—what has happened to the music i love???

After discovering the awesome wonders of Youtube i’ve been scouring the site for stuff that relates to my work, this little skit is probably hard for some to stomach, and maybe it’s a little loaded, but what is said is something we within society should all be made aware of.

para-site is a site specific theatre company that writes and creates new performances for unusual and exciting urban places. It’s run by two lovely ladies Tamara and Lydia
who are both striving to show that theatre can take place anywhere and not just in traditional venues. It is a great honor for me, that they have decided to produce a performance piece inspired by my paintings. The other day was the first meeting and rehearsal, I must say i am rather chuffed and it was fantastic and fascinating to see how the performers interpreted my work and i look forward to seeing how everything develops. The performance takes place on the 17th July at sesame gallery

last year i had a show called ‘This is England’. for me the show was about looking at the changing face of Britain today, in both a physical and a cultural sense.
I wanted to illustrate the point that the young generation today represent and reflect the reality that we are all here in our many different shades, colours and beliefs, interacting as part of this country, living together as one,so fuck what ever the stupid Daily mail newspaper says.

I am putting it about a bit on the exhibition front, two private views on one night, what a art whore…..
but hey i haven’t shown any paintings for ages, out of choice, so come down to the galleries and see what i have been doing in the past little while as well as see great art by the other artistic peeps.

Number 1 art geezer, Frankie d in the place to be from Campbarbossa, has brought together a great line up of ‘urban artists’ and myself, shitty old mat small. I do believe it could be a funky fresh show, so bring yourselves down and enjoy.

My artworks have got a lot to do with the people in my area and the place it’s self. with that in mind I found it mighty interesting to see the area where I live featured in this piss take tv advert, it makes the place look like a right shit hole, anyway, north London represent.

just starting up a new project where me an a couple of artist chums will work alongside a group of y.p.s ( young people ) to put on a show, taking place later on in the year. i gotta say it’s something i’m pretty excited about. I’ll post pictures and video footage of the workshop sessions when i sort out how to do that kinda stuff, which will probably be never..

my work rarely ventures outside london town, pretty much like me, but for one time only, i’ll be showing new works up in bristol city –so if ya flying past the west side of this country check out the ‘Not a penny off the Pay, not a second on the day’ group show

Is that a good thing? I always hope that people who buy my work are genuinely in love with the work, but that’s cloud cuckoo land thinking! Once some ones bought my work, they can do what the bloody hell they want I suppose!
